Cooking with the Good Food Box Workshops

A series of workshops have been held at Barrie Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation sites to promote the Good Food Box and to show people what they can prepare from the contents.

A Community Food Worker and Lorna Avery-Cooper, Community Health Worker, hosted a Good Food Box demo at Coulter Glen Apartments in Barrie in September 2010.  The Food Worker cooked a simple pasta dish with broccoli and Lorna Avery Cooper from the Barrie Community Health Centre discussed ordering the Good Food Box with eleven participants.

These demos are held monthly thanks to a United Way Community Impact grant and partnerships between the Barrie Community Health Centre and Barrie Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation.
